Steve Shakewell and DJ Duckcomb joined us this past week for an overdue return visit to the program for a guest DJ mix. Together they are Sharegroove, and their eponymous party has been a much beloved NY happening for some time now. The past year they’ve been getting at it at the Douglass lofts in Gowanus, Brooklyn; their jams are not to miss, and to stay in the loop check out their website for details on upcoming parties.

As it turns out, they’ll be playing over at Tandem in Bushwick Brooklyn the night before Tackleberry and I play at resident Mikie Lixxx’s Bionic Boogie party during the last weekend in March (Fri / Sat). Happy to take a breather from the club format, they packed their crate accordingly and put together a nice spread of odd-ball radio themed cuts, original edits and productions (see Trap.Avoid’s ‘Little Countries’!), boogie R&B and full-throttle disco.
