Last week JBX returned as a guest on the show, and this time he brought along another Lost And Found regular, Scian Smooth. After my opening set, Scian started things off with a few classics & edits before playing a double-dose of the Blackbyrd’s Keith Killgo. Double booked last Friday with Jonny Paycheck and Doc Delay of Good Records. It was nice to hear some comparatively new releases sprinkled in to each of their sets. Jonny started off the night with some soul and disco, slaking one Queens caller’s thirst for “Hustle Music”, before Delay took over for a synth heavy last hour. We were happy to invite Chairman Mao back on the show last Friday. He played some serious gems in his nearly two-and-a-half hour set. Tough to pick favorites from this one, but I really loved the Jack Sass, Burning Desire & Marshall, Donovan, Broomfield 45′s. Here’s a link to the flip of the Marshall… record. A fantastic uptempo cover of Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose “Since I Found My Baby”. Mao also treated us to a yet-to-be released track from Mugo called “I Love Music”.
