Coming up this Saturday, we’ve got our 3rd night of Camp Debonair with Stegs of Vietcong Disco. Expect selections mapped across the legacy of specialty dance music with a cool-minded concern for the tasteful, genteel and all encompassing SOFT TOUCH in the night’s programming.

We’ll be soundtracking the Cocktail Hour welcome from 10-11 before settling in. This one’s a spe…cial one as it’s Mike’s Birthday and we’ll be toasting him with some seriously Gentleman cuts throughout the night. And it’s Frantz Barosy’s birthday too- he’ll be stopping by with some records to complement the vibe.

Wow, what a treat! Last Friday we had the illustrious Hippie Torrales of Zanzibar fame join us in the studio for a special guest set in anticipation of his upcoming European tour and record releases. Hippie brought by a selection of music that illuminates the crossover sound emerging in the late ’60s and early ’70s which later defined DISCO along with a few edits and reworks of treasured club classics. A tried, trusted and true selector whose reputation and taste are only topped by his warm and friendly personality. Thanks for this one Hippie!

In part 2, Tackleberry and myself weaved through modern soul, deep disco and select classics to close out the second half of the show. Next week DJ BLT joins us for a guest set on a Friday evening that happens to fall on the 13th of the month. Should be anything but ordinary!
