For all that has fallen by the wayside in 2008, your reliable crew of DJs have survived to keep our monthly gathering of feel good music and dancing in-TACT! We’re very happy to put together a very special night to thank y’all for coming out, supporting us, and keeping that positive vibe for what we do. We’ve met way too many good people and have shared the floor with some serious dancers.

With this said, we hope you’ll come out to our exclusive one year anniversary engagement where it all started: Savalas.

We have a special program lined up with YOU in mind!

Joining us for the night is Morgan Geist, consummate DJ and producer behind the Environ label. We can’t say how excited we are to share the booth with him! Through both his Metro Area project as well as his solo releases, Morgan has been consistently putting out music that we greatly admire.

We understand the importance of anniversary engagements, and we won’t let this one be anything short of spectacular. Arrive early for pizza and champagne selected with the same discretion that we choose our records! We hope that you’re O.K. with paying the $2 for the bubbly and mozz.

On Saturday, February 7th, Serious Business welcomes Morgan Geist for our special 1 year anniversary engagement at Savalas in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The music starts at 10pm, and goes until close. Pizza and champagne will be served early while disco, boogie, and other feel good sounds ready you for the evening. Jamie Dubs, Tackleberry, Mike Mcgill, and Bennett4$enate will be selecting music for the night.

Arrive early so space don’t run out…See you there!

This Friday, A Downtown Affair welcomes A1 Records’ Stewart Upchurch! We’re incredibly excited to have Stewart come by for a special guest mix. From his years at the late Vinylmania to his current post at A1 Records, Stewart’s been responsible for supplying NY deejays with dance releases played in clubs and on the radio alike, keeping the pulse of NYC dance music audible. Stewart holds a deep knowledge of disco and boogie music, and this Friday he’ll be sharing it with us on the program. Tune in (89.1FM/wnyu.org, Friday January 9th 10:30pm-1:00am)!
